D-Voyant, the Superhero with Autism and a knack for telling the future, has been out for almost an entire year! So many people have picked up small things about the character that we find fun, but what have you seen? 1. He Is On The Spectrum
Darren, a.k.a. D-Voyant, is a 19-year-old with Autism at the start of the series. He lives in a Forgotten One's camp to survive the constant demon attacks and the generally unsafe post-apocalyptic environment he was born into. Living in the Forgotten One's camp has its challenges, but one of them is not inclusion. He can be around others with similar challenges to his own, and they all care for one another and provide comfort and friendship to survive the hard times.
2. He Is Clairvoyant
According to the Oxford Dictionary, Clairvoyant is defined as "a person who claims to have a supernatural ability to perceive events in the future or beyond normal sensory contact."
Darren is granted (or cursed) with this ability later on in his journey. With his powers, he can find people that don't want to be found and see things that aren't meant to be seen. He holds the future in his hands.
3. He Organizes EVERYTHING
D-Voyant by day, Darren by night. Darren spends his pastime organizing his superhero models and books in a way that makes him feel comfortable. When he is in a battle, he is fierce, but when he is alone, he is peaceful and enjoys the simple things.
4. He Fights To Save The Forgotten Ones
The Forgotten Ones are a group of people left behind by the supergovernment, The Collective. The Collective did not believe that people with disabilities, chronic illnesses, or low socioeconomic status were valuable enough to be allowed in the Neo-Cities that flew high above the chaos. D-Voyant is a part of the Forgotten Ones. Before he began his journey to becoming a superhero, he suffered at the hands of The Collective daily.
5. He Was Inspired By "Mighty Martin"
Who is Might Martin? Why is he important? To simplify, Mighty Martin is the leader of the "Heroes of Old" in Book 1 of the D-Voyant Series. If not for MM and his powerful abilities and outstanding leadership, the world would have succame to the demon threat within the first few decades of the war. His sacrifice inspired D-Voyant and many others to join together to fight for the salvation of everyone, regardless of the cost.
